The International Climate Initiative, the IKI, has an expanding scope of work in South Africa. The growing community has expressed the need for a more accessible and comprehensive platform to share information and connect with all relevant stakeholders.  To further support these initiatives, we are proud to announce the launch of the IKI South Africa website.

The platform is designed to improve transparency and raise the visibility of IKI-supported projects and partners across South Africa. Serving as a central hub for our diverse portfolio and valued partners, it provides users with easy access to detailed project information, thematic priorities, the latest news, and a comprehensive resource library – all in one place.

In South Africa, the Climate Support Programme (CSP), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is the designated Interface project for the International Climate Initiative (IKI). In this role, CSP strategically supports a growing portfolio of IKI projects, which aim to strengthen climate resilience, drive the just transition, and promote sustainable development.   

More than just an information repository, the website supports dialogue, knowledge sharing, and partnership-building among stakeholders. By offering this one-stop hub, it aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, helping to advance effective and inclusive climate and biodiversity action in South Africa.
